Lend-A-Hand

Founded in 1994, the LEND-A-HAND program has successfully placed high school students in part-time summer jobs at law offices, banking institutions, trade associations, design firms and other high quality businesses and corporations. LEND-A-HAND has a number of success stories - many students emerge with newly defined career and educational goals as a result of their experience; and employers gain hard working employees that contribute to the productivity of their businesses. The program not only builds the student's self-esteem, self-confidence, and a sense of pride and professionalism, but the participating business will reap the benefits of employing very capable minds.

An above minimum wage salary to the student is all that is required (we also suggest a monetary commitment of $200 professional clothing allowance per student). A participating employer will receive a student thirsty for knowledge and committed to showing up for work on time and completing daily work assignments. The employer will also receive the satisfaction of knowing they are making a difference in our society and contributing to the continuing education of our country's future job bank.

A few months of employment for these students can have a profound impact on their future life path. Join hands with us for this rewarding opportunity to help resolve some of the many social issues facing our youths.

We thank the following organizations for partnering with us to make our program a success:
